Business Development Director to join the Western Europe team

Western Europe is the largest region in Carlsberg representing 58% of Group Net Revenue and 47% of Group EBIT in 2013. The region consists of 20 markets with own operations as well as ExLiD. Focus for the region is to continuously improve profitability by driving market share gains while improving operational efficiency. The overall purposeof the Business Development team is to drive cross regional, cross functional strategic projects and the region’s strategic business planning process. The Business Development team will also be involved in significant projects in individual countries. Furthermore, the Business Development team facilitates co-operation between the Western Europe region, central back-end functions and markets. The Business Development Director reports to the VP of Business Development for Western Europe. The primary responsibility for the Business Development Director is to drive priority regional business development projects. Most of these projects involve significant interaction with local subsidiaries and will focus on the 8 scale markets of Western Europe. The division of tasks will be approximately 70% project execution, 20% business strategy/review processes and 10% ad hoc tasks. The Business Development Director will be directly exposed to all levels in the local organisations, and work with central Group functions on the individual projects. The job requires • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • A very structured work approach, incl. strong project management skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Initiative, drive and an entrepreneurial mindset • Eagerness to learn about all parts of the business • Ability to work in an international organization with several stakeholders • Empathy and understanding of different cultures / a multinational environment Key success criteria in the position are: • Contribute directly to improved earnings in Western Europe region • Define, run and implement projects to improve competitiveness • Secure a well-organized and prioritized plan for activities, present and future ones • Secure successful interaction and collaboration with relevant stakeholders • Be proactive in terms of process optimization and business planning activities Personal skills and qualifications The ideal candidate has • 4+ year experience as management consultant • 2 year experience working with business development within a B2C-business • Education -Master Degree (5 years+) or equivalent • English (fluent) • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • International experience strongly preferred To succeed in the role you need to have a commercial mindset and the ability to consider full value chain in creating business solutions. You are a problem-solver with ability to create structured analyses from disparate sources of information and you have the ability to effectively structure and deliver content in written, oral, and formal presentations. Furthermore you have the ability to structure project activities, resource allocation, timing, and interdependencies and drive results across simultaneous projects under tight time pressures.
