Do you have what it takes to ensure that the chemicals in our products meet all laws and regulations of our markets and incorporate the national requirements in our global standards? ECCO is a growing global premium consumer brand. This involves approaching new markets across the globe with each their own laws and regulations. You make sure that we abide by all local rules and create standards that allow us to meet local demands in our global production. You do so with ongoing collaboration with our sales regions, legal department, our chemical lab in the Netherlands, R&D, production and others. Job Profile: In this newly established team of 3, you take on a new position where you provide detailed insight in laws within areas of relevance, as well as work closely together with your colleagues across ECCO. Furthermore, you lead projects to ensure that we are in compliance with local legal demands on chemicals in products. Thus, you learn all about how local rules on chemistry affect our shoe production, while cooperating with stakeholders across ECCO to ensure compliance. Your overall mission is to make sure that we have a cost efficient, risk minimising and innovative approach. Doing so, you: Analyse laws and standards on a very detailed level Collaborate with colleagues in the sales regions, in legal, at our chemical lab in the Netherlands, R&D, production and others, which takes you travelling 30 days per year Perform gap analyses involving cost, performance and risk investigation to evaluate chemical compliance and present your recommendations to ECCO managers Apply clear and transparent communication to all stakeholders to build relations and collaborations across borders and cultures Meet market expectations to ensure that we meet the demands of future markets and, thus, minimise the need for future changes Qualifications and Work Experience: In the Purchase & Testing team of 25, we are committed to always improving the status quo of ECCO and provide our colleagues with specialised knowledge. Thus, you are able to help and collaborate with stakeholders on all levels, so they can see the need for action and act accordingly. Your qualifications: You are a chemical engineer with solid experience in compliance and product standard specification You enjoy looking at details in laws and standards, having to take information from many different areas and create the needed overview You have project management experience from a global organisation, and you have previously worked with product compliance You speak and write English effortlessly We offer: You will join a family-owned company that is experiencing a truly exciting global development.
