Do you have the technical and managerial skills to take on the challenge as head of a highly skilled R&D team? Would developing products for a global leader within energy efficient solutions motivate you? Then we have the job for you in R&D Valves in Danfoss Residential Heating R&D. You will lead the R&D Valves department in Viby and become part of the R&D management team. Bringing Valves into a new era in an innovative environment As R&D Director in R&D you will play a key role in implementing our strategy for development of valves in different materials. You will be in charge of a team of up to ten employees all highly skilled and knowledgeable within brass and other metals. At the same time, you need to build up the plastic design competence in the team as well as maintain and develop your team’s knowledge about brass and other metals. You will personally drive the valve development proactively, delegate work based on task type and competence profiles, and finally bring new ideas to the table, to improve business. You need to be able to go deep into details and acquire solid knowledge within the mechanical completion of our products. Your main focus will be: •Initiate and drive valve development •Act as project leader in selected smaller project •Participate actively in R&D management team •Develop and maintain competences and people in your department You need to enable design products with both plastic, brass and other materials – designs that are brought all the way from idea to production. Your success depends on your ability to enhance and improve the mechanical design procedures through the entire process. Moving you team to continuously higher standards Your drive and commitment will motivate and inspire your team to raise the bar and always be demanded resources as team members for projects. As Director R&D Valves, you have the responsibility for talent management and development within the department, and you make sure the resources always match the requirements in a constantly changing environment. Skilled leader with deep technical knowledge You have a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar and knowledge of industrial product development from high volume production, preferably in both metal and plastic. You have several years’ working experience and a proven track record from larger development tasks. You have experience in driving teams in product development with a focus on details. Personally, you have a creative and innovative mind-set, seeking out of the box solutions in order to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and other stakeholders. Still you are result oriented and hardworking, never loosing focus on delivering on time and in the right quality. You are proficient in written and spoken English and Danish, and you will expect app. 20 travel days per year.
