In a highly competitive and globalized market, Product Management drives the Vestas Product Strategy setting the direction for the future commercial wind power plant solutions making sure that Vestas always has the right competitive product offerings to stay ahead of competitors. Product Management has a global reach into our sales regions, including Technical Sales Management with responsibility for technical sales and bid management. Vestas Product Management In everything we do we have a commercial and customer oriented approach. We are measured on the impact the product platforms have on Vestas profitability and ability to continuously lower the cost of energy. We are responsible for aligning the Product Strategy globally across our Sales Business Units in order to support local markets success and by this taking into account the dynamics of the global market for wind power plant solutions. Product Management has the strategic and operational lead of the turbine platforms related products. We are accountable for the establishment, review and quality of business plans for new product development and for the daily management of the offerings in terms of global technical sales support. In order to lead the product through the value chain and all the way to the market then Product Management corporates with many stakeholders across Vestas. Responsibilities: For an ambitious and strong leader and influencer, Vestas offers a unique position as Chief Product Manager requiring a transformational mind-set as well as extensive stakeholder management and leadership skills. It is essential that you will take the lead of one of Vestas product platforms accounting for approx. EUR 3bn of revenue. As Chief Product Manager you will be responsible for one of our platforms, which also means that you must have strong capabilities in handling the complexity in our go-to market process and product portfolio. You will be driving a strong team around the platform and this position offers the opportunity to impact the future product strategy of Vestas. Responsibilities: Leadership of the product team Lead and drive the product management process across the Vestas value chain Commercial product life cycle management of the platform and related product variants Follow-up on the product platform revenue and earnings and suggest actions based on the commercial product life cycle performance Responsible for the business case in relation to new product development and introductions Develop and implement company-wide go-to-market plans for successful launch of product variants including pro-active risk management Develop and own the market related product platform vision and value proposition Alignment of product development plans with the regional market strategies Be an integrated member of the team developing the product market strategies and product roadmaps Product training of the Sales Regions and Technical Sales Support with focus on product feature, benefits, key selling points and how to capture the value of the new products variant Participate in customer dialogues and the interpretation of market and customer trends Define the product requirements for new development products Be a “gate keeper” in the product development projects to ensure that the product requirements are fulfilled Be a part of the management team in Product Management Qualifications: You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. or an MBA - either in Engineering combined with a commercial education or relevant commercial experience – or in Business/Economics combined with a technical education or relevant technical experience.
