Would you like to become a specialist, playing a crucial role within Grundfos motors, which is a unique part of the world class Grundfos pumps? You become part of the Global Product Management – more specifically the Motors & Drives team where we are responsible for purchased electric motors as well as the motors we produce at Grundfos. We are 5 colleagues in the team with 2 dedicated to electric motors. You refer to Programme Manager, Preben Poulsen. ”Our team is busy, but we work really well and very closely together to ensure a great atmosphere and outstanding products. All of your colleagues are Engineers with electrical backgrounds, and we are a versatile group with different seniority and competences,” Preben explains. What is the job about? As our new Global Product Specialist, you will act as the technical link between market, production, supplier and product maintenance within Grundfos produced and sourced electric motors. You will participate in defining and generating the product programme. A key role is to be responsible for product-technical support, including focusing on multimedia technical documentation. As such, your job takes a back-office function where you are not in direct contact with your customers or the market. Instead, your support focuses on internal colleagues where you support Grundfos companies worldwide, which will take you travelling 15-20 days a year – primarily within Europe. Moreover, you participate as market representative in new development projects and manage product training and the introduction of new products and initiatives on the market. “The challenge in your new job will be to learn everything there is to know in order to become a specialist. You will have to obtain profound knowledge about the products, their operation and applications. Depending on your level of knowledge, we will take care of relevant in-house training, where you get to visit the different departments and build your knowledge,” Preben says. What do you need to apply? You might have a degree in Electro or Marine Engineering - preferably with a focus on motors and/or electronics – or you have another relevant background. Perhaps you have some years of experience, but if you have recently graduated, you are also welcome to apply. Experience in motors is an advantage as well as brief knowledge about frequency converters. Furthermore, you have experience in documentation and teaching, enabling you to translate technical documentation into easy-to-understand information. You speak English fluently, and you must be willing to learn Danish if you do not already speak it. “On a personal level, you are an excellent networker who can communicate with both customers and colleagues worldwide regarding technical solutions. You are independent and enterprising, enabling you to generate high-quality solutions on time,” Preben finishes.
