And do you want to learn about and work with unique one-of-a-kind processes? Then join the Sensor Production Department in Farum, Denmark where we are 17 technicians, operators and engineers. We are responsible for producing silicon pressure sensors based on MEMS technology and patented advanced thin-film materials for internal use in Grundfos Bjerringbro. The manufacturing takes place in a cleanroom environment with a unique semiconductor production line utilising PVD, photo-lithography, plasma etch, metrology and wet chemistry processes. You refer to Department Head, Sensor Production, Farum Ulla Zangenberg. ”You become part of a small team of engineers who are responsible for equipment and processes. Our culture is informal and we enjoy humour and open and honest tone where we discussand spar with each other. Being a small team, we care about helping one another, even if a task is outside our area of expertise and we all sit together in one open office space,” Ulla explains. What is the job about? As our new Process Engineer, you are responsible for processes and equipment in a semiconductor production line. Here, you work hands-on with optimizing and monitoring (SPC) of the processes and collaborate closely with the other process engineers in the daily operation. Delivering sensors of the best quality and at the right time requires you to make sure that processes are running smoothly, thus requiring you to take on a project management role. This involves carrying out fault analysis and correction as well as supporting the production in collaboration with operators and service technicians. You will have contact to equipment suppliers and will also have the responsibility of recommendation and management of investments in new equipment and production strategies. “Some of our processes are the only ones of their kind in the world and some are even confidential. This means that you will not know all processes in advance so you will have to delve into things with your colleagues to absorb new knowledge. It will no doubt give you specialist knowledge on semiconductor processes,” Ulla says. What do you need to apply? You have a Master’s Degree within applied physics or engineering combined with practical experience with fault finding and analysis. You also have hands-on experience with hi-tech production equipment. You speak English fluently and preferably also Danish. It is an advantage but not a prerequisite if you have knowledge of one or more of the following: SPC, project management, Six Sigma, high vacuum systems, clean room experience, semiconductor processes and devices or PVD, lithography, RIE, metrology and wet chemistry. “On a personal level, you have a structured and an analytical approach to your work combined with a good sense of humour. You do not mind taking on assignments that are not within your area of expertise and you enjoy a team effort where we help each other,” Ulla finishes.
