For Technology & Innovation department in Service Wind Power we are looking for a talented and experienced project manager in Cost Out. The department is responsible for developing service concepts, tools and processes for the service-ability of the various turbine platforms in Siemens Wind Powers portfolio. The scope ranges from tools development processes and the lifecycle process of specific components in the turbines over Cost Out initiatives. The team has a huge impact on the performance of our turbines and the quality of our technicians; hence the Project Manager position will have a key role in Siemens Wind Power going forward. What are my responsibilities? The main role of our new Project Manager is to take ownership of the cross platform Cost Out initiatives – from initial idea generation, requirement identification, testing to final documentation and implementation. During the process you will be supported by highly skilled colleagues who will help securing a successful implementation of the projects. Your responsibilities are: Define areas of cost out (for the purpose of reducing the time spent on service on long-established wind turbines) Secure alignment of processes in the regions and with Siemens Wind Power Manage projects according to PM (at) Siemens, the project model used at Siemens Take ownership in handover of projects to implementation Keep track of implementation progress of projects Conduct workshops with all relevant stakeholders What do I need to qualify for this job? You have a background in economics, combined with at least 3-5 years of project management experience in implementing cost outs in an international environment. It is a clear advantage if you already have knowledge about the Siemens VGP (value generation process). It is of the highest importance that you have a holistic mindset and are able to see the entire value chain in the company as well as understand how the individual project is best scoped and implemented. You can demonstrate calmness under pressure as the job is very versatile with a broad scope, thus there are many tasks to keep running at once – plans change weekly. As a person you are action oriented and agree that it is more important to ensure progress in the project than comprehensive documentation. Furthermore you are a skilled negotiator with the ability to communicate at all levels, and you possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
