TSS, Product Management, Technical Sales Management EMEA - North The Technical Bid Engineers role is a highly diversified role that requires solid technical skills as well as a strong commercial insight. Your main responsibilities in the job as a Technical Bid Manager will be to ensure timely and correct responses to customer requirements, prepare clarifications and deviations to tenders issued from our customers and lead technical negotiations together with Sales Managers and with customers and their representatives. You will not be alone in this - there will be a team of highly qualified experts to support you throughout the process however you will be the lead and is expected to act accordingly, so high level of assertiveness and coordination skills will be also be required. Further to this you will also be the link between Local Sales organization and TSS (Technology & Service Solutions) for general technical matters. This will require a solid understanding of the market, customer business case and sales perspective in general and the ability to combine this knowledge with the technical insight you possess ensuring that we deliver what the market requires without inflicting with our technical offerings on the various turbine platforms. This means you act as the "Voice of the Customers" inside the organization in order to secure that Vestas' offerings fits with the local constraints. You keep a continuous track of the local rules and legislation. Your position does not require any management activities. However you need strong coordination ability and act as the link between Sales, Legal and Technology & Service and Solutions. Qualifications: Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical or similar) combined with Commercial insight/interest. Preferably you have some commercial experience A previous 3-5 years' experience in wind energy is a plus Knowledge on EU tender legislation is a plus Competencies: High degree of flexibility Used to travel (about 15% of the time) Used to work in high "intensity" environments Solid language skills, English language is a must, and other EU languages is a plus FIDIC contractual knowledge is a plus Team player Understanding how culture can impact negotiations What we offer: You will be assigned to a number of sales projects for the Northern European Region depending on the work load and priorities and is expected to lead a team of people on a project basis.
