We Offer Maersk Drilling IT is an international organisation moving forward in constant development. Our most important IT project currently being executed is the implementation and roll-out of our new company wide ERP system based on an IFS platform. For this system, we need an experienced Technical System Manager to manage the technical aspects of the solution during the implementation and roll-out, and after the project have been completed. In Maersk Drilling IT, we play a pivotal role in executing the overall strategy of Maersk Drilling. As the Technical System Manager, you will have the overall responsibility of the technical elements of this critical solution including system infrastructure, databases, integrations, replication, back-ground jobs, queues, back-up, user permissions, custom developments, events, reports and more. Being responsible, you will have the system overview and understanding of the solution and orchestrate the technical resources in-house and from various international vendors delivering support, error resolution and changes. You will be based in our office in Lyngby, Denmark, and report to the Head of ERP. Given that Maersk Drilling is an international organisation operating globally, some travelling activities will be expected. Key Responsibilities You will from start be part of the large ERP project team working closely with business users and IT professionals. In the project, you will have a key role during the ERP implementation and roll-out. It is your responsibility to ensure that the system and IT aspects of the project are functioning smoothly to ensure a glitch-free working environment for the project. During and after the implementation project and roll-out are completed, you will be responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of the technical aspects of the application. In general, you will: • Organize an end-to-end overview and understanding of the solution and all its technical elements • Organize and maintain the technical delivery resources and skills required for technical application management • Concurrently ensure that business needs and requirements are supported by the IFS ERP from a technical perspective • Ensuring system performance according to business needs and IT standards • Promoting project management and service management methodology and tools to provide structure and guidance during implementation and operation • Instance management including controlling development and test databases and the planning of updates across all databases • Leading continuous improvement of application • Ensuring appropriate direction and resources to deliver high-quality and executing successfully on initiatives. Who we are looking for As the Technical System Manager, you will have to be a team player, who is confident with delivering results in corporation with colleagues and external parties across the organisation. You are entrepreneurial and achievement oriented and you possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral (English) communication skills. It is important that you have been involved in ERP implementations where your focus has been on the Technical aspects like installations, databases, integrations, custom developments, forms, permissions, system jobs, etc., but you should also have understanding of the cross-functional logistics and financial business processes in an ERP system. You have extensive experience of the technical sides (The IFS platform is based on Oracle databases; PL/SQL and integrations are based on Biztalk), including in-depth hands-on experience in solution delivery.
