About the department An opportunity to join a high performing team in Novo Nordisk Pharmatech focused on researching, developing and supplying novel solid phase synthetic materials for the purification of biotherapeutics at Novo Nordisk. We work in close collaboration with our scientific colleagues at Novo Nordisk to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing medicines The job As an experienced technician, with strong organic and potentially solid phase synthetic experience, your key responsibilities will be the preparation of new solid phase materials, including ion exchange/mixed mode, immune-affinity and HIC, to improve current processes and solve new challenges. You will carry out daily planning of your work, synthesis of key intermediates and final resins, and analysis and evaluation of both the physical and functional properties of the final resins. You will record and report your scientific work and share your learnings with the team, project teams and other colleagues. Qualifications Educated as a laboratory technician (Laborant), ideally with at least 5 years’ experience. As an experienced technician you will also have extensive knowledge in synthetic organic chemistry and solid phase synthesis would be an advantage. You are a strong team player with a good understanding of the chemical sciences. You have good attention to detail and are conscious of working safety in the lab. You have experience of using IT and scientific equipment and have a broad knowledge of analytical techniques. You are dynamic, flexible and able to cope with change, dedicated to ‘making a difference’ and ready to ‘go the extra mile’ when faced with challenges.
