Novo Nordisk is currently running a project aiming at establishing a local Vial and Penfill production with a Contract Manufacturing Organisation in Constantine, Algeria. We are therefore looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take the lead on this this key pharmaceutical project. About the department Contract & Local Manufacturing, CMO Local Markets is responsible for establishing, monitoring and supporting our partners within licence and contract manufacturing worldwide. Our main office is located in Bagsværd, Denmark, however the projects typically require that you can reside in a relevant country and work from there for periods of time. In this case, the project will also at a later point require an expatriation to Algeria. The Job As Senior Project Manager, it is your primary responsibility together with a public local partner, to head a project that aims at establishing and supporting our production activity in Algeria. Your main focus will be on a penfill project, which is under design phase and the project is likely to run over the next 3-4 years. Moreover you will be responsible for supporting vials production in existing facilities. In order to allow for correct and timely execution, you will need to maintain a strong sense of purpose, work out the project plans and secure proper follow-up through monitoring and reporting on the projects’ progression. You will also investigate and take action on any changes to the project scope, schedule or cost, which you report to management and to the project steering group. International stakeholder management and an ability to understand the political environment locally will be key to your success, as you will represent Novo Nordisk on high level and work with a state-owned company and other governmental authorities locally. Specifically, you will play a central role coordinating with a team of specialists who is responsible for transferring Novo Nordisk Know-how related to technical processes, GMP requirement and the Novo Nordisk way to the local partner. It will be your responsibility to secure that our local manufacturer operates in compliance with Novo Nordisk’s corporate requirements as well as EU regulations. Furthermore, you develop and improve the way we work with the partner, with the aim to secure stable processes and timely delivery of high quality products. Your responsibilities will also cover a range of activities, such as technology transfer, preparing gap analyses, and developing GMP and production documents. Qualifications You hold an MSc e.g. in Pharmacy or Engineering, or you have a comparable technical background. You are an experienced Project Manager with in-depth knowledge of aseptic production of insulin, in particular formulation, filling and corresponding support functions. Alternatively, you have experience from QC/QA departments or project management knowhow within production, equipment or utilities. Either way, you have worked in an international environment and obtained technical knowledge as well as solid business understanding.
