Would you like to take up the exciting challenge of assessing investment opportunities within green energy solutions and help us create a world that runs entirely on green energy?
Join us and become a Financial Analyst in our Bioenergy Investment Analysis team where you’ll play an active role during project maturation and the subsequent final investment decision by providing financial and commercial assessments of the investment proposals, which are presented to the executive management and the Board of Directors. You’ll support the business in both investments and M&A projects and run the projects from a financial standpoint as a partner to the business and play a key role in the process.
The Bioenergy Investment Analysis team supports the business unit Bioenergy in assessing investment and optimisation opportunities in our combined heat and power plants as well as assessing investment opportunities in green energy solutions such as our waste-to-energy concept Renescience or in new biogas plants to expand our business across Northern Europe and the UK.
Your key tasks will be to
- perform valuations and investment optimisation of your own portfolio of projects
- develop, maintain and operate business cases and valuation models in Excel
- prepare decision material and recommendations for senior management, executives and the Board of Directors
- contribute with ad hoc financial analyses to the organisation and participate in cross-functional and corporate development projects
- ensure high quality deliverables on time.
Furthermore, you’re a subject matter expert and trusted partner who’ll be partly responsible for the use of financial concepts and valuation principles within the team.
Your competences include that you
- hold a master’s degree in finance, economics or similar (e.g. the Danish degrees cand.merc.fir., cand.merc.aef.,cand.merc.fin., cand.oecon., or cand.polit.), where you’ve consistently proven a top-tier performance
- are newly graduated or have some experience from an equivalent position in a large company, a consultancy company or from investment banking where you’ve performed valuations, financial analyses and managed complex processes
- are proficient in and willing to work with discounted cash flow valuation, risk modelling and impact on accounts
- have a basic understanding of market drivers, regulatory regimes and accounting standards – or are willing to learn these
- are acquainted with complex Excel modelling.
Additionally, you speak and write English fluently and have strong communication skills, enabling you to present your results professionally to your business partners. You work systematically, show responsibility and are able to deliver high-quality solutions. Moreover, you have a result-oriented and value-adding approach to your work and a flair for working with complicated analytical challenges. Finally, you’re able to create results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders.
