We are looking for an infrastructure architect with focus on Microsoft platforms (Share point) for Global IT, Vestas. Vestas Global IT creates business value by providing world-class IT solutions in conjunction with offering local and centralized support to the entire Vestas Organization. Global IT equips the Sales and Production units, as well as corporate Group functions such as Engineering and Marketing, with dynamic solutions for executing Vestas strategy and assuring real business value for our global customers and stakeholders. Vestas Global IT, Infastructure Plan & Design Department. The Infrastructure Plan & Design department of some 10 people works informally together in an exciting environment where we ensure that business requirements and related solutions to infrastructure are appro-priately designed, developed and optimized across their lifecycle. We take responsibility for our solutions and interact directly with business, development and daily operations. Infrastructure Plan & Design ensures continuous improvement and utilization of our infrastructure in order to maximize value and reduce risk. As a Microsoft platform Infrastructure Architect you will cooperate with and support the Application Architects from other departments in Vestas Global IT as well as collaborate closely with the other Infrastructure Architects. Responsibilities and tasks As Microsoft platforms Infrastructure Architect you not only have influence on the future infrastructure solutions at Vestas - you are also designing, scoping and documenting them, and thereby making sure Vestas have the best possible technical IT solutions. You will participate in defining strategies including roadmaps and laying budgets, and you will work with colleagues across technologies to coordinate and utilize synergies You understand that IT is a business driver and can demonstrate your enterprise and commercial view on IT. You will be working with the newest technology, and both your technical and people skills will be challenged every day. It is important that you can work across different organizations and on many organizational levels. You will be working closely with applications architects on Microsoft platforms and the other infrastructure architects and understand how infrastructure architecture can support the application and business needs. As technical architect you will be responsible for: Designing and optimizing a global and complex infrastructure focusing on Microsoft platforms – in close collaboration with infrastructure (external) partners Lead infrastructure architect role in IT projects Ensuring consistency and reuse of solutions by utilizing global standards Ensuring existence and good quality of documentation Planning, scoping and assist in deploying the solutions Linking infrastructure design to strategy Define and drive implementation of technology roadmaps Create and keeping budget for your technology area Driving or participating in Proof of Concept’s (POC’s) Providing knowledge and expertise as consultants Qualifications and work experience The ideal qualified candidate has the following qualifications and experience: Specialist skills in infrastructure architecture within Microsoft platforms (Share Point, Project Server) At least 3 years´ experience with enterprise architecture Valid and strong interest in working with complex infrastructure in a larger global company Solid understanding of the interaction between different technologies A thorough interest in and understanding of how IT is related and adds value to the business Fluent in English both orally and written Moreover, your personality is of outmost importance.
