You will be one of our two Innovation Managers with clear responsibility of identifying the best ideas and transforming them into actual Business Cases which serve as a solid foundation for our R&D projects. As an Innovation Manager, you possess a strong commercial mindset and a genuine interest in the cement and minerals business. To succeed in the role, you identify the key stakeholders and based on their input, outline the proposed project and prepare it for execution. This requires you to be broad minded yet persistent in obtaining answers to some critical questions. You will be offered a unique opportunity to directly influence the innovation topics which ensure the future commercial attractiveness of FLSmidth. In doing so, the job involves you interacting with key strategic stakeholders and having a comprehensive understanding of their respective technology areas. Detailed Description Accepting this challenge You will be a part of Customer Service Division, Global R&D. We initiate, facilitate and execute innovation projects worldwide. One of our main focus areas is reduced time to market which requires a constant flow in our pipeline and flexibility in our approach. Like the rest of us, you can expect to travel up to 60 days per year. Global R&D is based in Valby, Denmark where the majority of your future colleagues work. However, due to our global operations, we can be flexible on your location. CSD Global R&D is a new organization with a flat structure where you will have a large influence on tasks and goals. Your main tasks · Facilitate idea prioritization in cooperation with Global Product Line Management. · Transform ideas into Business Cases with a clear scope, assumptions for financial appraisal, commercial impact, client payback and technical feasibility. · Reach our targets within your area of Ideas and Business Cases. · Obtain commitment from stakeholders and outline project scope based on their inputs. · Initiate and facilitate Innovation Forums and concept workshops. Job Requirements The right candidates Can come in many shapes with different backgrounds. Our focus will be on the candidate who is able to merge a realistic commercial mindset and technical skills with strong knowledge of R&D Project Management.
