PhD scholarship in Prediction Methods for the Environmental Fate of Organic Chemicals

DTU Environment deals with all aspects of environmental pollution. The project centers around prediction methods for the fate of chemicals in the environment. “Fate” of chemicals includes transport, bioaccumulation and in particular degradation of chemicals. The ultimate objective of the project is to predict degradation rates of organic chemicals in environmental matrices. Responsibilities and tasks The work requires a solid basis in Environmental Engineering, preferably with specialisation in Environmental Chemistry. Experience in mathematical modelling, data treatment and degradation experiments is essential. Qualifications Candidates should have a master's degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering. Approval and Enrolment The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU.
