About the department In Product Supply our mission is to be the best within quality, delivery, cost, environment and not the least taking care of and engaging our employees. Global EHS is a key player in succeeding with this mission. The function drives an ambitious agenda on; handling of chemicals and waste in Production, managing and monitoring the CO2 initiatives and working with ergonomics, safety and wellbeing. The department is located in Bagsværd and consists of 20 highly specialised employees and their managers. They actively contribute to our safety system which ensures that we have world class employee engagement, no occupational injuries and no work-related absence by continuous improvement of the work environment. The job As Director for Global EHS your primary responsibility is Environmental and Health & Safety (EHS) management across Novo Nordisk’s global production organisation You are responsible for ensuring EHS compliance at Production Sites, supporting Novo Nordisk senior management in setting overall direction, and driving the implementation of EHS strategies. Part of this is done by initiating new projects to span across production sites and ensuring that local projects from production sites are challenged and in line with environmental strategies. The scope of the department is global, and it serves the interface between Novo Nordisk and Danish authorities. Furthermore you will be responsible for setting the long term direction and targets for Novo Nordisk Production within Environmental and Health & Safety. The unit is anchored in the Business Support function together with Finance, IT and our Global Project Office. Together we aim at supporting the Production in an effective and coordinated way. Within EHS you will have a continuous focus on optimising and aligning processes and ensuring that what you deliver is the right thing. Qualifications You are an experienced leader and have strong communication and change management skills. Your experience allows you to turn complex matters into simple solutions and you dare to challenge existing perceptions.
