Lead/Senior Mechanical Engineer for mechanical design projects

Are you an experienced lead engineer with expert mechanical design and layout knowledge? Would you like to have main responsibility for the technical aspects of multidisciplinary projects? Manage discipline projects and provide technical expert knowledge and advice In this position, you will work with mechanical design and layout projects spanning from single technical areas to multidisciplinary projects. You will manage the discipline project team with 3 highly skilled employees, where you will ensure that their competencies are up-to-date and you will give active support to them in their projects. You will also be actively involved in projects, where you will use your technical expertise, securing technical project integrity. Some of your key tasks will include: •Provide technical expertise within pressure equipment, rotating equipment, valves, materials, O&M, constructability •Ensure total discipline integrity and demonstrate understanding of relevant mechanical and layout engineering nuances •Work with international projects, clients and colleagues •Have an ongoing interaction with clients and stakeholders regarding solutions, project status, progress and expectations in order to improve client satisfaction •Align the contractual understanding of quality with clients and ensure timely deliveries to the agreed quality •Conduct proactive management of projects by following up on project progress and cost •Ensure that Ramboll’s HSEQ requirements and procedures are followed •Have interaction with the procurement department on tenders, technical clarification etc. In the department as team leader, you will also have an opportunity to contribute in the management tasks and strategic tasks set out in the department’s strategy plan. You will operate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and you should expect 1-2 travelling days per month to attend meetings with clients. Moreover, you must be able to set clear objectives, identify and organize resources and focus on clients’ needs by delivering projects on time, of high quality and within budget. We also expect your qualifications to include: •Bachelor, Master or PhD within Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Piping Design and Layout. Alternatively Bachelor from Technology Management and Marine Engineering •Min. 6-10 years of experience within offshore oil & gas or petrochemical projects •Familiar with 3D design tools, and skills in NavisWorks at user level •It is an advantage if you have practical experience within technical field •Good English skills both written and oral •Experience with MS Office applications (Word and Excel) Your new colleagues The Piping & Mechanical department in Esbjerg is mainly executing offshore Brownfield Oil & Gas projects and studies.
