As Maintenance Specialist you will be the leading development of optimization and new solutions for our Maintenance Work Process area. In close cooperation with our service business, our component designers and your colleagues you will ensure that we deliver optimized maintenance work processes for our products. Technology & Service Solutions (TSS) > Nacelle, Power & Handling > Transport & Handling Processes Transport & Handling (T&H) is a part of Technology & Service Solutions (TSS), Vestas R&D organization. The department is accountable for developing and optimizing work processes and tools for Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines. Transport & Handling Processes is a part of Transport & Handling. The team is responsible for developing and illustrating processes and concepts related to transport, installation and maintenance of wind turbines. In relation to maintenance our responsibilities are: Development of maintenance concepts for new WTG products in collaboration with WTG designers Ensure that market requirements and best practice is included in WTG design To drive new product development to ensure WTG design enables cost optimized maintenance solutions and ensure full value chain perspective in new products Development and implementation of scheduled maintenance for wind turbines Optimization of scheduled maintenance in terms of cost reduction and quality improvements Collection of improvement suggestions and best practice from a range of stakeholders Responsibilities Your main responsibilities will be: Specialist within maintenance in Transport & Handling and lead the development of optimized maintenance concepts Plan and ensure development of scheduled maintenance and maintenance work processes for new wind turbines Ensure that requirements from the operational service business are included in the wind turbine design & tools design Provide maintenance expert business support to the organization Your primary day to day tasks will be to: Plan activities in close cooperation with your manager Coach and lead your colleagues in their daily work with maintenance work process development Define, prepare and optimize scheduled maintenance in collaboration with turbine component designers In close cooperation with stakeholders define operational requirements to tools and turbine design Provide business support to our Service Business Qualifications At least 3-5 years of proven experience within installation, maintenance or other handling of wind turbines or other large components Educated in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering (or similar) Certification or training in project management is an advantage An additional certification in Six Sigma or similar is an advantage Competencies Experience in development of processes or concepts for larger components in either wind or maritime industry or similar Knowledge about 3D-Modeling or conceptual study experience Understanding of risk assessment tools Good communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal Knowledge about wind turbine technology and systems is preferred Knowledge about wind turbine service business is preferred Experience with project management or planning Capable of cooperating with colleagues in a professional and positive manner A proactive mindset and ability to keep an overview in stressed situations What we offer We offer you an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic work environment.
