Can you manage and motivate a team of highly specialized and dedicated engineers? Are you skilled project manager and can you ensure scheduling and planning of real time SW- and HW releases? If so, there is a challenging opportunity as Manager in our Plant Controls System department. Service & Plant Solutions / Plant Solutions / Plant Power Systems Plant Power Systems (PPS) is a part of Plant Solutions, which again belongs to the Technology organization. An increasing market segment is asking for total solutions as turnkey wind power plants as opposed to another segment just asking for a number of individual turbines. Plant Solutions is responsible for the products and services, which enable our regional sales organizations to sell, install and service total solutions. In other words: The products and services transforming a number of turbines into a Wind Power Plant on par with traditional power plants. This includes Electrical grid connection and compliance, SCADA systems, Data acquisitions, Data analysis and Siting. The PPS department consists of engineers only and is responsible for electrical grid integration of the Vestas turbine portfolio. We are sitting in Aarhus /DK and Singapore and work in the whole value chain from analyzing market requirements to development of solutions and technical training and support of our regional sales organizations. Everything with the main purpose to ensure easy grid connections to various Power Systems worldwide. PPS consist of two different high level competence domains working smoothly together: Electrical Engineering and Controls Development. Electrical Engineering is responsible for collecting and influencing the electrical requirements from Transmission System Operators written in so called Grid Codes. They are also designing solutions and simulation models as well as sales project specific grid connection studies. Controls development is responsible for our core product: the Power Plant Controller incl. embedded and real time SW development, release management and support. It also includes HW development of all SCADA system products. This management position relates to the Controls domain. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for all hardware platforms in VestasOnline® SCADA system and have the full product responsibility of the VestasOnline® Power Plant Controller (Both HW and embedded SW), which is part of the VestasOnline® product suite. You will be working with these challenges: People management (one-one dialogues, development plans, target settings, etc.) Map and fulfill the needs of your key stakeholders (Regional Sales Business units, Turbine SW teams, Electrical Engineering, SCADA development, Manufacturing, Suppliers etc.) Make roadmaps, business cases and project scoping within plant Controls Systems Collect and prioritize market inputs to SW releases Facilitate planning sessions and follow up on progress Resource allocations Identify cost optimizations in processes and products Optimize SW applications- and HW development, test- and release processes and tools Competence development Prioritize medium term development activities against short term operational support through provided through a ticket system Qualifications: B.Sc. or M.Sc. - most likely Software- or electrical engineering + 2 years of experience with people management + 5 years of project management experience Experience with model based design Experience in software development processes Experience of control systems architectures of embedded systems Experience in project planning and SCRUM processes You have the desire and the ability to understand and maintain overview of a wide range of advanced technical domains with primary focus at Plant Controls International working experience would be advantageous Good communication skills in English orally and written Competencies: You have a high level of drive and are able to challenge the existing while maintaining flow You are driven by
