Maersk Drilling was recognised in 2014 as the leading drilling contractor within Process Safety. To help ensure we maintain our position ahead of the competition, we are looking for an extremely motivated individual who is willing to take on the challenge of ensuring our drilling units are operated in compliance with statutory safety and environmental legislation in the oil and gas industry. We Offer As Process Safety Advisor, you will develop your existing skills towards subject matter expertise under our guidance, eventually becoming responsible for overseeing our statutory operational risk management obligations in the form of unit HSE Cases and contingency planning. Through hands-on experience, you will also become an expert in the use of various Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) techniques. This is a development role with a steep learning curve that will be supported by a dedicated training and mentoring programme. For the right candidate, the pace of development will be equally challenging and rewarding. Naturally, occasional business travel will be required to our operating locations both on and offshore in order to fully execute your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities •Using your subject matter expertise to support our asset teams, ensuring our operations maintain continuous compliance with statutory Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, e.g. o Ensuring operational HSSE documentation is developed and maintained in compliance with our internal management system processes. o Staying abreast of changes in local and international regulations within the oil and gas sector and assessing the impact to our operations, both in terms of compliance obligations and risk management capability. o Using specialist knowledge to assess revision requests to our operational HSSE documentation o Optimising our management system processes through the application of PDSA methodology o Conducting hazard identification, risk assessment and risk management activities to support our asset teams Additionally, you will be required to: •Work with stakeholders across the Maersk Drilling organization to define and implement best practice in relation to management of operational compliance. •Demonstrate how we manage compliance to key clients and regulators, and also during audits. •Assist the Head of Process Safety with developing and implementing the Maersk Drilling Process Safety Management strategy and accompanying framework. Who we are looking for You are a highly motivated individual with a strategic outlook and a keen eye for detail. You are passionate about achieving high standards of compliance and quality in your work. Not only do you enjoy seeking out improvement opportunities but you also possess the ability to transform your ideas into action. You have already gained 2-5 years’ experience within a compliance management role in a production or service-oriented organisation. In addition to your professional experience, you hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, law or business management. You currently hold an offshore medical certificate or possess a level of physical fitness sufficient to obtain one. You are equally comfortable working in a team environment and on your own initiative.
