About the department The National Public Affairs department is responsible for supporting Novo Nordisk affiliates globally with their national public affairs planning and execution. In addition the department has the responsibility for building public affairs capabilities throughout the organisation, and working with external stakeholders. As our new Senior Health Economist you will join the National Public Affairs department, which consists of nine dedicated employees located at Novo Nordisk headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. The job You will be part of a hard working team supporting the organisation on creating a supportive stakeholder environment for patients and for Novo Nordisk. Your tasks will include identifying and developing evidence around the patients unmet needs, particularly in the area of diabetes. You will be responsible for supporting affiliates on building local health economics capabilities, as well as co-driving initiatives together with them. You will also become a key resource on a corporate level, where you will be supporting corporate initiatives under the Changing Diabetes® umbrella and in line with our Triple Bottom line principle. You will represent Novo Nordisk externally as well as developing publications. You will be working closely together with a broad variety of internal stakeholders from different organisational levels, functions and geographies. Qualifications You have a masters or PhD degree in economics and have a solid understanding of healthcare systems and the industry. This combined with at least 6-8 years of relevant experience, either as a civil servant, consultant, or from a healthcare company. You must have good health economics and business understanding. You are recognised for your strong analytical, strategic and collaborative skills. You can easily communicate complex analysis in a simple and clear manner, and you never compromise on the quality of your deliverables. You are a number cruncher, you are creative and have a strong ability to think outside the box. Strong communication, collaboration and relation building skills are critical qualifications. You thrive in a busy environment, bring a can-do attitude, and you maintain a healthy sense of humour, also when the pressure is high. While you should be a team player, you are also expected to drive your projects independently. Finally, you are fluent in English.
