We are looking for an experienced, self-driven and hands on Engineer for our Production Engineering department in Hammel, Denmark. Hereof approx 45 in Denmark and 15 in China. The jobs mentioned in this advertisement are located in Hammel, Denmark. Our Mission is to create standardized products and production processes & continuous improvement and development of product and production processes in the products lifetime. We are working with Controllers for Wind turbines and at the site in Hammel we are having both operation and development activities. We support the Controller Factory Hammel on a daily basis and have many different collaborators and stakeholders throughout the Vestas organization. You will report to Manager of Production Process Improvement at Controller Factory Hammel. Responsibility: Ensure the Development and documentation of special tools and equipment for the specific product Ensure that all deliverables within the area of responsibility are aligned with the receiving factory Responsible for overall consistency and synergy in the development of Production Basis Tasks: - Ensure development of the production basis - Develop and optimize the production process - Process Flow - P-FMEA - Control Plan - Process Instructions - Theoretical line balancing - Specify, develop & document special process tools and gauges - Setup requirements for the production line during the NPI project - Give input to the overall design (DFM) - Review and give input to the detailed design - Participate in D-FMEA - Ensure that technical issues are raised, regarding the production process - Ensure implementation of relevant ECM and NCR tasks - Technical support to the production Qualifications and work experience: We expect that you have an educational background as Production Engineer or similar, and that you have/are: - Knowledge in management tools e.g. Lean Manufacturing, is a plus - Good communication skills in English and Danish both written and spoken - Proven ability to work independently and in teams under pressure - Open minded and good at sharing/gathering information within a team - Relevant experience in a well-established multi-national company is a plus. - Familiar with change management systems. - Good IT skills What we offer: We offer you an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic work environment.
