Only a couple of months ago, we revealed our new groundbreaking Velox platform for our next generation hearing aids, called Opn. We are proud of this achievement and not afraid of calling it a paradigm shift in hearing care. At the core of the platform is our ability to test a complex digital system of both processors and BLE link layer. Consequently, our future hearing aid users will experience better ability to separate speech from background noise, be better at following conversations and not missing out. All of this not least because of the platforms ability to analyze the environment 100 times per second. In our group, Silicon Engines, we have worked hard and dedicated in order to deliver the Velox chipset and firmware platform, but we do not rest here. We are already well into the development of the next generation of Velox, and this is why we are looking for an experienced project manager. Our new project manager will be a part of the Silicon Engines, which is a group of 60 people within R&D. The group is responsible for designing and testing all ICs for hearing aids in William Demant. The team consists of 10 highly competent developers, whereas 8 develop analog circuitry and 2 digital circuitry for IC’s. Your technical challenge You will be responsible for frontend IC group. This group develops mainly analog IC’s with high performance microphone amplifiers, complex voltage supply circuitry, magnetic wireless systems and more that we can’t mention. The frontend IC will be part of a chipset, which is, together with firmware, the main delivery of Silicon Engines. You will be in charge of budget, people and project. You will be running a project that delivers extremely low power IC’s in the newest technology, with remarkable performance. Solid experience with project management We expect you to have a BSc, MSc or PhD in Engineering, and a background within in IC/ASIC design. You are experienced within project management and management of complex projects with different stakeholders. You are skilled in motivating and making very competent IC developers work effectively together. You can overview the operational challenges in the project and thereby lead it effectively. As a person, you are eager to establish effective relations across functions and interact in multi-disciplinary teams. Your approach to your work can be characterized as structured, systematic and analytical, and you possess the ability to find the way to a solution in a complex environment. You work both with details and with a wide perspective in finding the complete solution. We expect you to be fluent in English since this is our corporate language.
