Your responsibilities as Project Manager

As Project Manager you will be responsible for small and midscale engineering and consulting projects.

As such, you will be closely involved in projects that range from conceptual design through FEED up to construction and commissioning. You coordinate integrated and international project teams and are willing to travel. The responsibility will comprise contract fulfilment, budget responsibility, scope definition, reporting and schedule tracking throughout all phases of the project. LNG experience is a plus.

We offer you the opportunity to develop within these areas: 

• Project Management for national and international onhore plants and LNG projects
• Development of basic plant key data and viability assessment of early phase projects in close coordination with our Studies Department.
• Identification of new potential clients and initiative to promote Ramboll
• Sales and proposal management  covering onshore plants and LNG  in close collaboration with the Business Development department

Take responsibility for the clients’ needs, projects and people
With your initiative and your good communication skills, your commitment and your ability to see the big picture and are willing to develop new project oportunities and are able to prepare complex project tenders. You are great at motivating people, negotiate with clients and subcontractors and keep a strong focus on the project targets.

• Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity,
• Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
• Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
• Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule
• Coordinate with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Department Manager or Stakeholders for project reviews
• Implement QA/QC procedures
• Perform other duties as needed

To be a success in this position, we imagine that you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering Discipline
• Min. 5 years of engineering experience with LNG, gas storage facilities and /or gas projects
• Min. 3 years of multi-disciplin projects  and or project management experience
• Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills
• Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills
• Experience with proposal preparation
• Knowledge of consultancy business is preferred
• MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)

The Onshore Plant Department in Copenhagen, Denmark works within the area of onshore oil and gas facilities (gas receiving terminals, gas storage facilities, compressor stations, oil tanks, LNG, etc.) and is in close cooperation with Rambols Offshore Department and various other departments  within the Ramboll Group. Our project range reaches from feasibility stage over FEED studies, basic and detailed engineering to supervision, start-up and commissioning.
