Copenhagen Local Engineering/Technical Ref.: MO-051338 Maersk Oil Danish Business Unit (DBU) is looking for a Project Planner to join the Development Planning Support Team in the DBU Subsurface Department. The position is an expansion of DBU project planning capabilities. It is a position suitable for a college graduate with scope to progress to a dedicated planning career. On the job training from experienced planner will expedite development. The holder of the position will assist in the delivery of realistic and high quality project plans for all hydrocarbon development projects to ensure predictability for the DBU Leadership Team and partners as well as to optimize resource planning. A phased approach is foreseen, initial phase covering our major development projects (Category 1 and 2), the second phase including planning of our smaller Category 3 projects. We Offer The role will liaise with, and provide planning expertise to the Project Managers of relevant projects from the Initiate to Define stages. Also, the role will be responsible for facilitating development of and keeping up to date realistic, high quality project plans covering tasks, milestones, deliverables, manpower resources, dependencies, etc. and tracking metrics of progress vs. plan. The total DBU project portfolio comprises in excess of 50 projects. The primary interfaces will be with the Project Managers, Decision Executives and team members for our Category 1 and 2 projects, with time also Category 3 projects. The role will also be interfacing with the: Engineering Function, Development Function, Drilling Function, Functional Managers, Business Planning, Leadership Team and the Corporate Project Maturation Process Office. Key Responsibilities Liaise with and provide planning assistance to the Project Managers of relevant projects. • Facilitate development of and keep up to date realistic, high quality project plans including measurement metrics of progress vs. plan • Prepare and distribute various levels of progress and productivity reports, including associated analysis of reports • Update and report on key performance indicators as required • Prepare for and contribute to Project peer and technical assurance reviews • Assist in the generation of resource level schedules, manpower histograms and S-Curves as required • Liaise and coordinate with all stakeholders and key contractors / vendors to ensure efficient planning and delivery of the Project • Assist with schedule optimization by proactively identifying opportunities, clashes and threats where performance is at variance with the baseline plan • Attend and provide planning input to internal / external meetings as necessary • Assist with the compilation of presentations • Assist and participate with risk reviews and subsequent analysis Who we are looking for We are looking for a college graduate with a degree in engineering/technical or similar background. This position requires the knowledge of Primavera planning tool with scope to progress to a dedicated planning career and fluent in English Futher key requirements of the successful candidate for this role are: • Demonstrable team player – able to build relations across the company • Ability to condense a lot of information into simplified overviews / spreadsheets • Good communication and networking skills • Accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to influence without authority • Ability to interpret available planning and scheduling information from the various stakeholders involved throughout the project.
