For Service Sales and Proposals, Onshore within Service Wind Power we are looking for a Proposal Manager who will be involved in the bid and proposal process from initial enquiry through to contract signature, working in cooperation with the Sales and Commercial Managers to establish and maintain long-term and profitable relationships with our customers. What are my responsibilities? Responsible for technical matters within the sales team including technical proposal development and contract schedules. Manage interfaces to Service Operations, Technology and Regional Entities. Review of tender specifications to determine customer’s requirements and understand the project drivers for all opportunities. Produce the tender price calculation to reflect internal cost estimates, supplier / subcontractor prices and margins in line with business targets. Supporting the Sales Manager in business development activities e.g. preparation of pre-qualification documentation / submissions, as required. Prepare the tender approval pack including calculation sheet, pricing comparisons, Limits of Authorization etc, ensuring all deliverables are produced in accordance with the tender program and support obtaining management approval in accordance with current signature protocols. In this position up to 10 % travel activities can be expected. What do I need to qualify for this job? You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or export engineering combined with a good technical understanding. Preferably you can demonstrate experience with bidding for large scale projects as well as knowledge and experience of the Wind Power or Wind Power Service industry. You possess excellent communication skills and excellent working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. You are driven and energized by working towards specific business goals, taking ownership, understanding opportunities for change, while overcoming obstacles, setback and uncertainty. You are fluent in English both orally and in writing. Furthermore good German skills are considered advantageous. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
