In Nordea Markets a strategic change is underway which will establish a new risk infrastructure based on microservices, and GRT&PD are looking for developers to work on the valuation and risk calculation services which will be part of this new infrastructure. Underlying these valuation and risk services is a new C++ library, currently under development by GRT&PD Model Development, and you will be using a number of programming languages (Java, Python, C# etc.) to make this library available in the risk infrastructure for local as well as distributed (grid) computations. You will be working in GRT&PD Model Development and collaborating with IT to ensure efficient and timely (continuous) deployment and support. The position we offer Global Rates Trading and Product Development (GRT&PD) is a division in Nordea Markets. We serve Nordic and major international corporate and institutional clients in all the Nordic countries as well as the Baltic region. To these clients we offer a full range of financial solutions, including structured and exotic instruments. Model Development is the team behind the advanced models that GRT&PD use to price and risk manage these instruments and is thus one of the main drivers behind the business. We are situated in the Nordea trading floor in Copenhagen and work closely with Trading and Structuring. The new risk infrastructure is part of Nordea’s Group Simplification Project. You will initially be hired for a two year period (expected duration of the project) after which there may be employment opportunities within GRT&PD. The qualifications you need You must have an advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.Sc.) in a quantitative field such as computer science, software engineering, mathematics or science. You should be experienced with, and have interest in, computer programming; we use a number of languages, such as Java, Python, C# and C++. You have the ability to focus and work in a hectic and challenging environment where priorities may change quickly and you have a strong focus on results and deliveries and excellent communication skills.
