We are looking for a Regional Category Manager for Danfoss Procurement (DP) – Raw Materials. DP is responsible for strategic and tactical sourcing activities on behalf of our factories and across our global categories. We are looking for a Regional Category Manager for the plastics and sealing category who will be responsible for developing and implementing the category strategy. The position entails approx. 30 traveling days a year and can be located in Nordborg or Gråsten in Denmark. Alternatively, the location can be Flensburg in Germany, if you are willing to work half of the time in one of the above mentioned locations in Denmark. Develop and implement category strategies With direct reference to the Director of Category Management, we are looking for an experienced professional to develop and execute the category strategies in full compliance with the global strategy, internal Danfoss requirements and supply chain needs. It will be your mission to develop, execute and implement category strategies, including roadmaps (savings, quality, and logistics), and the overall management and performance of suppliers. You will have a wide interface with both internal and external stakeholders and play a central role in creating impact and changes for Danfoss. As our Regional Category Manager, you will be responsible for making stepwise changes in full compliance with the global strategy and supply chain needs, and you will furthermore be responsible for supplier management (establishment of agreements, negotiations, supplier selection, supplier classification, SRM activities). Your key tasks are to: •Build category pipeline and follow up on project execution to ensure impact •Monitor and develop supplier performance by conducting performance dialogues with relevant suppliers •Develop cooperation with suppliers and internal stakeholders •Develop and implement the corporate category strategies in the region •Initiate and drive cross divisional cost reduction and optimisation projects •Ensure full utilisation of internal synergies Strong networking skills and hungry “go-getter” We are looking for a proactive self-starter with high drive, ambition and a positive can-do attitude. You hold a Bachelor’s degree within Business or Engineering, and have substantial procurement experience as well as category management skills. It is essential that you are result-oriented and that you have strong negotiation skills. You are good at leading change and at prioritising in a complex and fast-paced environment. You master English at negotiation level, have diplomatic skills, and are a good communicator at all levels. As a person, you are proactive, ambitious, cooperative and team focused.
