Research Scientist, Protein Diversity, Bagsvaerd, DK For our Protein Diversity Department we are looking for a Research Scientist skilled in Protein Engineering to join our team of dedicated technicians and scientists. The position is temporary for 3 years. Protein Diversity is responsible for developing new and improved enzymes for a wide range of industrial applications by protein engineering and directed molecular evolution. This position involves collaboration with people highly skilled in molecular biology, high-throughput screening, protein chemistry, protein modelling, application testing, and bioinformatics. Your primary responsibility will be on project TEMPEN, a research project in collaboration with Roskilde University. We expect you to propose and implement protein engineering strategies for the Tempen project as well as participate in the ongoing development of new enzyme products in the department. You will need to enjoy a busy working day with short and focused deadlines and practical work in the laboratory and always to be at the forefront of protein optimization. In this position you need to have: - Documented skills in Protein Engineering and DNA diversity techniques - Broad knowledge of and interest in enzyme structure/function relationships - A PhD or equivalent experience within Molecular Biology - Knowledge of hydrolases - especially carbohydrases would be an advantage Are you the next Zymer in our team?
