Are you a Senior Data Scientist, who is looking to make an impact? Here, you join a team building a new big data analytics function for a valued toy brand. You influence how we work with big data analytics, generate actionable insights and translate these to senior stakeholders. Establish data science as a discipline You join the Big Data & Advanced Analytics team where you use your business acumen to translate big data into insights. As a team, we are establishing data science as a discipline. Specifically, we deliver modelling algorithms and insights to a new digital experience and ad hoc analytics for the entire group. Thus, you use your knowledge of data science to influence how we use big data analytics to develop our marketing efforts, enable personalised consumer experiences and drive brand engagement. In detail, you: Establish data science as a discipline within Global Insights, the company´s insight centre of excellence, and in the LEGO Group as a whole. Deliver modelling algorithms for a new LEGO Group Project, where your skills help us in delivering recommendations to our followers on digital channels. Add to our Global Insights agenda by developing data visualization, data mining and advanced analytics to extend our current insights generation. Deliver ad-hoc analytics to internal stakeholders in the wider organisation and service other analytics initiatives within Product and Marketing Development. Experience with statistical modelling, data extraction and modelling To succeed in this position, you need to hit the ground running. In addition, you need to provide a structured and analytical approach to your tasks and triumph through your truly collaborative nature and your willingness to be part of a team that delivers together. You are able to engage technical as well as non-technical colleagues, and you: Hold a degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering or Computer Science. Have 3-5 years of experience with statistical modelling, data extraction, data cleansing, data visualization and knowledge of at least one advanced analytics tool/platform, preferably R or Python. Have a proven track record of understanding business analyses and supporting them, just as you know how to translate analytics into insights for stakeholders. Are familiar with methods of recommendation engines (similarity indexes, decision trees, random forests, collaborative filtering, etc.). Need to be able to travel to both internal projects and external conferences, especially within Europe, for a limited amount of time. Speak and write English fluently. Are thorough in your work and curious to find new ways of improving it.
