Join us and become manager of a dedicated team of specialists, who are part of a large and rapidly growing business unit. You will join a dynamic management team consisting of four managers, a Chief Specialist and a functional director; and you can take advantage of professional sparring with your experienced colleagues. The department has 25 employees with 24 located in Denmark and one in Germany, and we expect the number of employees to increase further in the near future both in Denmark and the United Kingdom. We cooperate closely with our colleagues across the entire organisation and participate in all project phases. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You will may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will be the daily manager of the department which has two sub-departments, one electrical team and one mechanical team as well as 4 Lead Specialists. Your primary tasks will be to assist the department in optimising mechanical and electrical installations and materials in relation to wind turbine deployment; including contact to the WTG suppliers' and their sub-suppliers’ technical departments. Moreover, you will ensure that the department has the competences to carry out design reviews and due diligence activities on our wind project portfolio, enabling the department to participate actively in the QC activities in all phases. We also perform root-cause analyses in case of operating problems, including inspections during dissemblance at sub-suppliers’ workshops. Your key duties will be to: ensure technical knowhow and experience within wind turbine components, modules and systems ensure best-in-class engineering technical review to support offshore wind development, construction and asset management ensure competent and sufficient manning make sure that the department’s results are consistent with our vision and strategy ensure a good cooperation with colleagues across a large organisation. Your profile You have a suitable educational background as a Master of Science in Engineering, preferably combined with an education within business and economics. You have extensive experience with WTG manufacturing, development and operations, and you can demonstrate good professional, commercial and managerial skills. Preferably, you will have some years of experience within the fields of offshore wind turbine installation and maintenance, and you can demonstrate staff responsibility where you have managed employees at a distance. Additionally, you will have good communication skills, enabling you to manoeuvre efficiently in a complex environment.
