Do you have experience working closely together in integrated development teams with a proven record in development geology and 3D static modelling in the area of development and production? Join us and become Senior Development Geologist/Geomodeller on the Siri Asset in the Subsurface department which is responsible for operating a number of fields in the Danish continental shelf. The fields comprise brown field developments, including building and updating static models, infill drilling and production optimisation. The work is conducted in integrated teams that include geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers. The department is a part of Exploration & Production which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As a Senior Development Geologist/Geomodeller, you will play a key technical role as a part of our team. You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks across our assets and will actively participate in technical follow-up and reviews of geoscience projects. You will also provide recommendations for corrective actions and share knowledge of best practice and markets. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •interpret and evaluate complex geoscience data according to Exploration & Production standards •evaluate and model new opportunities in terms of potential volume and economic return and provide recommendations and keep up to date on emerging geoscience techniques and methods within the industry •contribute to recommendations for the placing of appraisal and production wells and their design •participate in internal and external technical meetings to represent the department view and add value to areas within Exploration & Production interests •coach, mentor and lead small geoscience teams and review colleagues' analyses and reports for technical accuracy and provide recommendations to team leads and senior managers. Your profile You have a bachelor's or master's degree in geology or a similar background and extensive experience. Alternatively, you hold a PhD degree in a relevant area and 5-8 years' working experience. Ideally, we expect your professional experience to include advanced expertise in a geological or geophysical discipline, including operational experience. You have a strong and proven record in 3D static modelling, and you are recognised as a high-level technical professional within development and production. You also have advanced understanding of technical computer science tools, eg analysis and modelling packages, such as Petrel. You possess advanced geological and/or geophysical analysis and interpretation skills, and you have a broad knowledge of other exploration and production disciplines. You have good communication skills as well as technical leadership experience. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.
