For the Project Management Office (PMO) in our Service organization we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to execute our most challenging projects and support further development of the organization’s PM capabilities. The Project Management Office’s mission is to provide program and project execution and/or support, portfolio overview and transparency, PM governance processes and tools, thereby facilitating the accomplishment of Siemens Wind Power’s Strategic Plan and achieving program and project success. What are my responsibilities? As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for: • Developing and managing the scope, requirements, objectives and deliverables of projects under the mandate of the Steering Committee • Overall success criteria is to deliver the results outlined in the project scope not violating Siemens core values on safety and quality • The Critical Success Factors: Project Management Plan, Schedule, Project Budget and Risk Management • Approving and managing the project workstreams (wbs) and resources • Leading and managing the resolution of top level project issues and workstream conflicts • Reporting to the Steering Committee regularly and ad hoc on project progress, issues and risks • Promoting the project internally within business and externally to stakeholders • Motivate the project team to timely complete high quality deliverables through a positive mindset • Coaching, mentoring and providing guidance to the project team What do I need to qualify for this job? • You have extensive project management experience in large-scale projects, preferably from an international service or installation organization, combined with strong technical expertise and ideally a technical or business degree at master level. If you have a business background, you must hold a strong technical flair and interest. • You hold a generally acknowledged professional project management qualification - PMI’s PMP or IPMA level C or B certification. • As a person you are proactive and energetic, and you have a structured and quality-oriented approach to your assignments. You have the drive to continuously create results and innovative solutions, and you possess excellent networking skills and the ability to interact at all levels within a dynamic environment. In addition, you have excellent English skills both orally and in writing. • You demand more from yourself than you demand from others. You strive to resolve conflicts in a proactive and constructive manner. If you have acquired your skills in alternative ways, your application is just as well appreciated.
