Copenhagen Local/International Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering Ref.: MO-040246 The Harald platform near the Norwegian border is host to a number of existing fields, appraisal and exploration prospects and tie-in business. Existing production comprises: the Harald West gas-condensate field, producing from Jurassic sandstone; the Harald East gas field in Chalk, with an underlying sandstone prospect; and the Lulita waxy oil rim in Jurassic sandstone with a potential southern appraisal extension. The Harald platform also processes gas/condensate from a Norwegian tie-in (third party), with more tie-in requests competing for compressor and wax handling capacity. The total production from the Harald platform is sent to the Tyra Centre, via the Svend oil field in fractured Chalk. Svend contains various opportunities for further development that must be integrated in a long term plan for the full area. We Offer The position is for a senior reservoir engineer with a broad background in both operations and reservoir studies, who can integrate and mature a variety of developments in one asset. The senior reservoir engineering position has the responsibility to manage and further develop the Harald/Lulita/Svend cluster of fields by (1) optimising the tail-end production of very productive sandstone gas and oil wells, (2) maturing infill/exploration wells from existing slots on Harald, (3) maturing data acquisition on Svend during an upcoming workover campaign to influence further development of its Chalk and overlying exploration prospects and (4) integrating tie-in opportunities into the asset, honouring wax handling and compressor constraints. Key Responsibilities • Own and further develop the current Harald, Lulita and Svend dynamic models, integrating data from in-house and outsourced studies. Integrate the output with facility constraints and business development opportunities. • Identify and implement data acquisition needs and integrate these in reservoir surveillance plans and field development proposals • Use the data and models to optimise field management and mature new interventions • Quantify potential remaining development opportunities in Lulita, Svend Chalk and appraisal/exploration prospects. • Provide key input to annual reserves and Asset business planning cycle. • Assist the operational petroleum engineers, drilling, well services and production with the preparation of well intervention programmes. • Provide reservoir engineering input to the operational planning of new wells. • Mentor less experienced engineers and liaise with the Corporate Reservoir Engineering Team Who we are looking for • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, self-reliant, possess strong analytical, technical and communication skills, enjoy mentoring less experienced engineers and working in a multi-disciplinary environment and have the ability to engage and motivate others • MSc degree in petroleum or reservoir engineering with at least 10 years relevant experience in the oil industry, of which at least 5 years of reservoir simulation, with experience in 1) Gas-condensates 2) Eclipse, Petrel RE 3) Well and reservoir management. • Experience within surface facility constraints, third-party business, fluid analysis and flow assurance, and good understanding of petroleum engineering, well services and geosciences. • Fluent in written and spoken technical English and a team player with good communication skills. *LI-HJ1 Last application date: 08 June 2014.
