In the Oral Drug Product department in Måløv, Denmark, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague who shares our ambition to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of insulin and GLP-1, and who will help us improving the quality of life for millions of people around the world. About the Department Oral Drug Product consists of 35 dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues from nine different nationalities organized in three teams (formulation, analysis and pre-formulation/biophysics). Our shared ambition is to develop new formulation concepts for oral delivery of proteins and peptides, and our tasks comprise activities within pre-formulation, biophysics, characterisation, formulation, analysis and generation of intellectual property. This position is within the Oral Formulation Team, consisting of 13 skilled and highly engaged colleagues, and which has the main responsibility of developing novel formulation concepts for oral delivery of proteins and peptides. The Job As a Senior Research Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and developing new formulation concepts for oral delivery of biologics and/or leading formulation tracks already initiated. You will ensure proper documentation of your results, contribute to intellectual property, and ensure knowledge sharing within the department and the project team. Other key tasks during your busy workday will include planning, troubleshooting and evaluating formulation work in collaboration with other scientists as well as with our experienced laboratory technicians. You will work closely together with Pharmacology, Analysis and other R&D teams within the Global Research Unit. This job will offer you a high level of independence and flexibility. Qualifications The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics, preferably within the field of Pharmaceutical Technology. You have a strong knowledge within the common pharmaceutical technologies and processes, e.g. blending, tableting, granulation, coating, etc. Previous industrial experience is a plus. It will also be an advantage if you have experience with patents or from an R&D setting and/or specific knowledge of oral delivery of proteins and polypeptides. You have a high degree of drive and pro-activeness and additionally we expect from you a flexible mind-set and ability to adjust quickly to new tasks and situations in the ever-changing project driven environment in Global Research. You are a strong communicator, team player, creative, systematic and goal oriented. In order to make your ideas practical, you must possess a certain amount of innovation and creativity and be able to think and act unconventionally. As you will work in an international organisation, you will need good network and interaction abilities and very good English skills – both written and spoken.
