Are you ready to play an important role in Maersk Drilling’s Commercial Department by improving our customer attention and our commercial processes and driving Commercial Excellence across Maersk Drilling? We Offer Maersk Drilling is looking for a new Head of Commercial Excellence to develop and ensure an aligned way of approaching the market and translating Commercial strategies into structured business plans, projects, account plans and win plans. In this role, you will report directly to the Commercial Chief Officer and lead a smaller team of highly skilled commercial professionals who work on generating value for both customers, partners and the entire Maersk Drilling organization. As Head of Commercial Excellence, you will have the overall responsibility for all sales processes (sales BPO) and sales governance and will be in charge of recommending process and/or workflow changes. Together with your team, you will define and develop sales competences, and establish and roll out a single global commercial skills and competency framework. Furthermore, you will define, develop and implement sales operations tools e.g. the CRM system and objective setting, and act as a natural counterpart to the Performance Improvement Team in our Operations Department. Another significant part of this role is to define, develop and implement Commercial BI solutions and report on market and competitors. Key Responsibilities As Head of Commercial Excellence you will be: •Responsible for developing sales operation tools including CRM systems, Commercial BI, account and asset plan templates, classification models. •Responsible for developing sales capabilities including identification of gaps and required training e.g. assessment plans, training programs. •In charge of defining Global Sales KPI’s and ensure Performance Management support in Global Sales systems. •Responsible for maintaining and driving Marketing strategies, content development, marketing tools and conferences. Who we are looking for Maersk Drilling is looking for a senior candidate with solid experience within International Sales and Commercial Excellence. We expect you to possess strong leadership skills and to provide leadership and direction through other managers. You have a vast experience in coaching managers and providing input and consultation to senior managers or executive management within this functional area. You work in a structured way and have an analytical mindset. You take ownership and find motivation in both developing and deploying relevant systems and solutions. You have delivered good results in roles where stakeholder management (internally and externally) and collaboration have been key, and you have been used to execute functional strategies to achieve key business objectives within your area of responsibility. We expect you to hold a relevant Master degree and to have 10+ years of working experience within Commercial Excellence or similar, preferably in the oil industry.
