You may be our new senior statistical programmer. In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that makes a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society. About the department The Programming Anchor consists of 10 enthusiastic statistical programmers and process development specialists. The team is responsible for development and support of clinical data reporting, planning and conduct of training within systems and processes, and development, maintenance and improvement of programming tools. As an important activity the programming anchor is heavily involved in driving the Novo Nordisk CDISC implementation, aiming for CDISC founded standardisation of processes from trial outline to submission. The team is part of Novo Nordisk’s Clinical Systems Dept. and the largest customer is Biostatistics with 150 statisticians and statistical programmers globally in our R&D clinical development organisation. Clinical Systems is a dynamic department which cooperates with many different professionals in the organisation both within Denmark and across borders with our affiliates in the US, India, China and Japan, as well as our outsourcing partners in India. The job is situated in Copenhagen. The job As senior statistical programmer you will be involved in development of the data transparency project providing data for external requestors. You will take part in system development and process improvement projects within statistical programming and you will give input to development of global clinical data standards and data models. Furthermore, you will be an active trainer and supporter in the global Biostatistics organisation You must take responsibility for driving both standard tasks and more complex and time critical tasks. Development of methods and processes, as well as knowledge sharing is continuously ongoing in Novo Nordisk, especially based on the initiative of the employees. Therefore we expect you to communicate programming/technical problems and ideas both internally and externally. We expect you to take part in keeping Clinical Systems as a good and challenging place to work. Qualifications You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. within IT, natural sciences or other relevant degree, extensive knowledge and experience with SAS programming, IT system development methodologies, CDISC and clinical data domains. You have preferably five years’ experience within clinical research and are able to write efficient, well documented and standardised computer programs. Furthermore, strong cooperation and analytical skills are a necessity. You are capable of working independently, take on responsibility and show initiative.
