Senior Trader responsible for trading electricity and CO2 in the Nordic power markets

Would you like to help ensure continued development of our trading skills and value creation? Join us and become Power Trader in our Nordic Power & CO2 Desk as part of the Power Trading Team. Nordic Power & CO2 is part of Distribution & Customer Solutions which has 1500 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We handle the production from our wind farms and oil and gas fields to the energy exchanges and customers in Northern Europe, and we distribute electricity and natural gas to businesses and private customers in Denmark. You will be based at our office in Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. Your key tasks will be to - be responsible for profit and loss for your portfolio - help develop the trading strategies used in the team - optimise the trading portfolio and handle trade across the Nordic power markets - use and perform market analyses to develop, update and follow our trading strategies - price power products to internal and external counterparts and participate in market marker functions on Nasdaq/OMX - handle speculative trading to maximise trading profits. You will join a dynamic organisation where you will have the possibility of tailoring your job to your competences and experience. Your qualifications and core competences include that you - hold a relevant degree with several years of trading experience in the Nordic power market and have knowhow about the relevant aspects of handling a large trading portfolio - are able to transfer your professional knowledge to written proposed solutions and risk assessments - enjoy sharing your expertise with your colleagues, take responsibility and cooperate well with your business partners showing your skills as a good team player - are able to draw on extensive experience from a relevant position where you have been working in a similar position and have demonstrated consistent trading returns - thrive in an international environment and speak and write English fluently, enabling you to cooperate smoothly in our international environment - have an analytical and persistent approach to your work. It will be an advantage if you have previous experience using or developing fundamental models.
