Would you like to be a part of a 24/7 trading team responsible for trading the power produced by offshore wind farms in UK and Germany? Join us and become Short Term Trader in Power Operations, which is responsible for trading the production of power from our extensive offshore wind portfolio and balance the power for our end users both domestically and abroad. Power Operations is part of Customers & Markets, which has 1,600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We handle the production from our wind farms and oil and gas fields for the energy exchanges and customers in Northern Europe, and we distribute electricity and natural gas to businesses and private customers in Denmark. You will be based at our office in Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Short Term Trader, your main tasks will be to monitor and decide on short term trading strategies for our extensive offshore wind portfolio. You will handle trade on the day ahead and intraday markets to balance our traded and end-user positions in Denmark, UK, France, Germany and Netherlands. Another part of your responsibilities will be to engage with the rest of the team in improving our operational and analytical setup through participation in development projects and tasks. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: . nominate our trades towards system operators . participate in the 24/7 duty roster, covering 365 days a year. Your profile You have a degree within economics, science, engineering or similar combined with a sound understanding of financial products. You may also have in-depth knowledge of the European power market, especially the German p0ower market. Moreover, you are capable of taking decisions and act based on market development or asset events, and you stay calm in hectic situations and alert in calm situations. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you master English and preferably also German at a professional level. As a person, it is important that you have strong collaborative skills since all of our results are created by the entire team. You work independently and are self-driven, and you have a positive attitude to shift work, preferably based on personal experience.
