COO, Global Sourcing, Total Value Management This role reports through the global sourcing organization which has responsibility for all strategic purchasing of this multi-billion Euro business. This role is part of the Staff function in Global Sourcing, Total Value Management, which is responsible for coordinating global optimization initiatives along the value chain through cross-functional category teams. Responsibilities In this role, you will lead and project manage cross functional teams to develop and deliver Category Strategies and value chain optimization initiatives with minimum supervision, ensuring all areas of the business are fully integrated with the change. This includes: Analyse cost structure differences and share/highlight opportunities to category management teams and factories to initiate actions Compile data & presentation material for management decision meetings and Steering Committees Develop business cases with Category Teams in scope of optimization projects, such as Global Sourcing footprint optimization, outsourcing projects etc. Liaise with Category Teams and key stakeholders to ensure TVM actions are executed and implemented according to agreed timelines to ensure the timely execution of actions defined in the agreed project plans Project manages TVM teams in managing value and cost for a range of commodities through tools as: Feature/Function Cost Benchmarking, Value Stream Mapping or special projects. Coordinate, support and facilitate TVM idea generation events and activities including deep dive design reviews, Value Added and Value Engineering (VAVE’s), plant line walks, supplier site idea generation events, benchmarking design gap analysis and design/process efficiency studies Co-develop solutions with the specific aim of increasing value, reducing the complexity and cost Key relationships will include: Category Management Teams Engineering Product Management Manufacturing Finance Sales Qualifications We are looking for an ambitious and experienced procurement/supply chain profile with a proven track record within an international organization. You have worked within an industrial company or a consulting firm dealing with complex and diversified procurement & supply chain assignments for at least 3 to 5 years. Furthermore, we are looking for a profile with a: Bachelor/MSc.
