Vestas Global IT - IT Foundation is looking for a flexible Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a broad knowledge base covering the major IT infrastructure technologies within a complex IT environment. Our new SME will work closely with our SDMs, internal business units as well as external vendors to ensure a stable IT environment for the Vestas business operation. Vestas is implementing a Multi-Vendor approach for our IT Operation; this means the SME must perform technical analysis, prepare recommendations and participate in solution forums together with relevant parties, and ensure resolution together with our external vendors. In addition be ready to handle ad hoc assignments on a daily basis. Global IT, Operations & Support, Service Delivery Management, IT Foundation The Operation & Support ensures that business IT services and related solutions are appropriately delivered and optimized across their lifecycle and that the integrity of IT solutions is safeguarded. When IT Operation of services are handled by outsourcing partners Operation & Support interacts with sourcing partners / external vendors on optimizing the operation and SLA compliance activities and related governance to ensure quality in the delivery and safeguarding of existing solutions. Operation & Support ensures continuous improvement and utilization of IT applications and infrastructure in order to maximize value and reduce risk. The IT Foundation SME drives day-to-day operations of the Data Center services and technologies (Vendor Service Towers) within the IT Infrastructure area. The objective is to continuously meet agreed service levels and meet required levels of availability, reliability, capacity and security. IT Foundation is a small highly utilized team covering all aspects of Data Center operation and participation in cross technology/cross vender areas impacting operation. As part of the team a high degree of flexibility is required. Experience with: Operations in a complex multi-vendor multi-national sourcing setup Complex applications and infrastructure interdependencies Troubleshooting, monitoring, documentation, optimization and support in a complex environment Hardware platforms, storage systems, Citrix, VMware, SCADA, network technologies and understand application requirements/impacts Lifecycle and Asset management of operating systems, hardware, applications Basic understanding of Operational technology, modems, dongles, licenses Responsibilities Analyse performance data and implement corrections to operations Define reporting requirement to Vendor enabling IT Foundation to analyze day-to-operation Execute continues improvement on delivered IT Services e.g. optimization and performance tuning of operational environments and improvements of monitoring and support systems. Collect and ensure correction of operations and support delivery deficiencies e.g. technology refresh, upgrade or performance related configuration needs. Analyse and mitigate potential risks, and assure business continuity and disaster recovery in line with business resilience strategy. Act as 3'rd line resolver on complex Incident and Problem tickets. Stay compliant to IT standards and provide input for further development of these. Working with technology vendors to proactively resolve and improve management of operations issues Qualifications Must have minimum 6-10 years of experience with relevant technical fields and work Practical experienced with Information Systems, Engineering, or similar background preferable. Cloud experience preferred mixed with strong knowledge within Microsoft/Citrix environment Experience with Vendor collaboration, Service Delivery, Operations Management Experienced enabling infrastructure from preparation to full blown operation including all necessary processes; especially handover verification from project to operation Preferable knowledge within security Can work efficiently in a multicultural environment Competencies The
