System Architect within R&D As System Architect you will become part of a Systems Engineering and Development Tool function working across WDH companies and R&D units. Along with the Architecture Group you are accountable for systems architecture and systems design in development projects. You will be leading important architectural initiatives across the organization. In addition you will be responsible for technical analyses creating the basis for various technical decisions. You work closely together with the platform architects and other stakeholders on systems design and in advising how to obtain the best level of re-use, performance, technical feasibility etc. Finally, you play an important role in supporting the project managers in breaking projects down, identifying dependencies etc. in order to create solid plans. More specifically your primary tasks consists of: - Participation in product development projects having both an executing and advising role. You help project managers breaking projects down, identifying dependencies etc. - Leading architectural initiatives and technical analyses securing that decisions are sound and fact based. - Making hearing system architecture descriptions for development projects (as a model based system description using the SysML modeling language). - Facilitating the creation of system design contents - including the interface agreements matching the system architecture. - Participation in adjustments of system architecture and system design processes, methods and tools. - Participation in information, training and other initiatives to roll-out and maintain systems engineering in WDH. Technical background You have a Master degree in engineering or computer science combined with a broad technical background within hardware or software development. Ideally you have several years of experience in working with architecture combined with managerial experience, such as managing a team or a project. You have profound modelling skills and are comfortable breaking down complex systems and negotiating the right interfaces. Strong interpersonal and communication skills You thrive at interacting with many stakeholders and know that making architecture is very much about communication and involvement of the right people. You have a deep interest for technology and a passion for creating the system overview and setting the systems into a broader context. You have interpersonal and leadership skills, possess systems thinking and have a strong product development understanding.
