This is why you are the right person for this Associate Manager position for department Diabetes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (DAPI), Analytical Support, where you will be bringing together research, development and production - and make a difference in changing the lives of millions of people living with diabetes. About the department Manufacturing Development (MDev) is where our research is transformed to actual production of life-changing medicine. We drive the projects that define our future products within Diabetes Care and coordinate all the cross-department activities involved in scaling research findings into production. This includes production of (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) API for clinical trials, the establishment and support of production facilities and the transfer of knowledge, systems and analytical methods from research departments to production departments. We provide analytical support to complex, cross-organisational optimisation projects that cut costs, expand production capacity, improve marketed analysis methods and improve the quality of our finished products. We also support the production line and QC laboratories in maintaining a stable and safe production of high quality insulin and GLP-1. The tone is relaxed and creative, and we always strive to improve the way we do things. We are 57 project managers, analytical chemists and laboratory technicians – all coming together to change diabetes. A team of 10-15 scientists and laboratory technicians will be reporting to you and you will be part of the management group consisting of the Director of the department, 3 staff and 3 other Associate Managers. In addition you will soon be part of several cross-organisational networks of specialists and managers. Here you will find ample sparring and support when you need to draw on resources in other parts of Novo Nordisk. The position As Associate Manager in MDev, you will be working in the focal point between cutting edge research and daily production. While maintaining a strong focus on securing a stable and safe production, it will be the responsibility of you team to mature and implement the latest analysis methods and techniques in the QC laboratories that support the marketed products. Besides supporting late phase clinical development with sample analysis, your team will often be used as a resource in troubleshooting, problem prevention and optimizations of the production processes and analysis methods, and you take new ideas all the way from the planning board to steady, daily operation. You will be working in a complex landscape with many stakeholders, where your decisions must be based on a broad variety of considerations. You will be in charge of organising everyday tasks as well as long term development projects, setting the direction and pace of your team. You will prioritise the tasks in the team and ensure optimal allocation of resources, and concurrently you take the relevant steps to develop both team and department further. You will be based in Kalundborg, where you will be spending most of your time. As the department supports our facilities in Bagsværd, your presence will sometimes be needed there as well. The position has a high level of impact on the future of our products, and a high degree of responsibility.
