Business Unit Alfa Laval (ALF) Filters, responsible for the strategy development and implementation, within the areas of Manufacturing, Procurement, Order Execution, Sales & Marketing of the ALF Filters to all customers across all segments in Alfa Laval, both Capital Sales and Parts and Service sales, is looking for a Bid Engineer with a strong thermal as well as commercial background. Main responsibilities As Project Manager your main responsibilities will be to perform excellent, self-driven, focused and precise communication to customers, externally and internally as well as to coordinate SPA and delivery time with the heat exchanger supply units. Commercially you will be responsible for smart design in combination of ALF and heat exchanger solutions, for developing world class heat exchanger quotations matching customer needs, and for driving and support market units and sales companies - especially in feed stages. You will have to work across the PEP organization to secure heat exchanger RFQ’s. Key tasks PM tasks: •Act as a PM with focus on delivering orders and projects within time and budget •Read tender documentation and communicate required information for quotation building •Drive and secure documentation acc. to customer specifications Commercial tasks: •Build relations to market units and sales companies, with a view to strengthen the support from ALF & heat exchanger sales •Support market units centrally and sales companies with pre- and after-sales in general •Participate in customer projects acting as pivotal point of contact – across all market units in PEP Administrative tasks: •Coordinate special pricing agreement with the supply unit in question •Quotations coordination and follow-up in coordination with market unit and sales companies •Pipeline management Core competences Mechanical engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience within Alfa Laval operations and cost build up structure and Alfa Laval pricing structure and policies. Knowledge of the Alfa Laval sales organizations and processes is needed. You will need a solid thermal background with strong commercial skills. You will have to be fluent in written and spoken English. Being able to communicate in Danish and/or Swedish will be an advantage. You should be seen as extrovert with a high drive and tenacity, and a world class team player, with an open and friendly strong character as well as an interest in working across departments and cultures. You will need an excellent sense of structure and the ability to work without the requirement of an A - Z manual. Be self-driven and managed. Finally, it is important to be customer oriented. A personal drive and able to motivate and commit to other people across departments and different countries, is preferred.
