Construction Project Manager for international offshore wind farms

Would you like to join our dedicated teams of international colleagues and work with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects? Join us as Construction Project Manager in our Construction Management Department, where we are working to realise our 2020 strategy and HSE goals. You will participate in the execution of our offshore wind projects, being overall responsible for managing, planning and coordinating the affected site, including construction, logistic and commissioning activities. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business unit in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at one of our Danish offices in either Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the greater Copenhagen area or alternatively in our London office based in the United Kingdom on local terms and conditions. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. Initially, you will be working on one of our British offshore wind projects, and once the project is finished, you will be re-assigned to another project and site. Areas of responsibility As Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing, planning and coordinating the onshore and offshore sites, including construction, logistic and commissioning activities, as well as delivering complete O&M facilities ready for operation. Moreover, you will be overall responsible for health and safety for all activities onshore and offshore related to the O&M facilities and preassembly areas. You will also be responsible for implementing, enforcing and maintaining a high safety awareness culture amongst all involved parties. Moreover, you will enhance HSE in planning and execution of scope for all stakeholders. You will also be overall responsible for proactive management, good cooperation, communication and securing of interfaces within site and commissioning activities, ensuring that all project managers, their affected organisations and principal contractors are aligned with the construction, logistic and commissioning asset, scope of work, deliverables and agreed time schedules. Your direct reference in the project is the EPC Director. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: manage project time, cost budgets, quality, risks, interfaces, stakeholders and documentation as well as other PMI competence areas negotiate contracts and procurement according to respective procurement strategy, process and policy in cooperation with contract manager(s) be the point of contact to local authorities, local communities and stakeholders. Your profile You have a relevant technical education, for example a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, combined with high level management experience from large-scale projects from the wind industry, the oil and gas industry or similar industries. Moreover, you are able to corporate effectively and efficiently across professional disciplines, and you can create results through team-work as well as work independently.
