In our world we have to negotiate power consumption restrictions on a daily basis – a challenge our + 25 highly skilled engineers in the Embedded Software Realization Group thrive with, along with the prospect of working for one of the most innovative companies in the hearing solutions industry today. We currently have three vacant positions in our group, due to an increased demand for our deliveries. The job In your new position, you will be part of the Embedded Software Realization Group consisting of 25 very skillful and dedicated SW developers. The team is responsible for designing and implementing embedded SW in all of Oticon’s hearing solutions. Besides the daily dialogue with your SW colleagues, you can look forward to interfacing with the rest of the Oticon organization. Developing our technology to fulfill the requirements of the other parts of our development organization, including sister companies, be a major area of responsibility for you. This means that you will be responsible for identifying requirements, developing, testing, releasing, and documenting according to requirements and plans, evaluating change requests and support local management concerning these. In addition, a part of the role consists of integrating and verifying your developed software with other of our software components. Your main tasks include: •Design, implementation and test of embedded software, including adaptation of our technology to match the needs of our sister company as described above •Support of wakeup and validation of HW prototypes, including on-site sister company support •Participate in the development of automated integration test set up for the team deliveries Some travel activities are to be expected, amounting to approximately 15 days/year. Experience with embedded systems development We expect you to hold a relevant degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering. Furthermore, you may be a recent graduate with a hunger to work with the latest technologies in complex embedded environments. Alternatively, you have several years’ experience with development of embedded systems, either in-house or as a consultant. Furthermore, we are looking for the following competencies and experience: •Embedded software development, in particular C •Wireless protocol stack development, implementation and adaptation, e.g. Bluetooth •Scripting language such as Python •Audio streaming •HW wakeup and debugging •Agile software development Should you have skills in the simultaneous development of HW and firmware, it is an advantage. Moreover, experience with token based multicore systems and resource constrained systems would be advantageous.
