About the role As a Data Analyst at Issuu, you will be part of a small, global team responsible for analyzing, and understanding the data behind our users actions. You’re someone who can see stories through data spikes, and passionate about finding patterns through cohort analysis. We’re looking for candidates who love to work cross-functionally across our product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to help put together a holistic picture of what makes our users happy. Responsibilities •Analysis (ad-hoc and regular) on data to provide actionable insights at a both tactical and strategic level decisions on product usage and market needs •Establishing/communicating/enforcing standard metric definitions for use by the whole organization •Recommendations on data structuring, including when/how to use external vs internal systems •Strong understanding of business needs, proactive analytical approaches and ability to present actionable insights to Management •Perform data pulls to generate analysis •Develop models for predictive analytics on user behavior Requirements •BS or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or Economics •2+ years experience in the reporting and data visualization space •Experience in building custom reports and dashboards •Proven ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies •Experience building custom reports using multiple tools like Tableau •Ability to write efficient SQL statements •Experience working with data using various programming languages, e.g. Python, Perl to extract raw data and render it into custom reports/dashboards is a plus Benefits •Competitive compensation package •A sleek mac and a pretty sweet desk setup •You’ll be a key member of Issuu, an amazing place with room for parents, vegetarians, geeks, weirdos and the occasional normal guy About Issuu issuu connects the world’s publishers to an audience of active consumers, on a global scale.
