Data Manager for offshore wind farms (temporary position)

Would you like to take up the technical challenges in relation data management and QA of geo and environmental data from our offshore wind farms across markets? Join us and become Data Manager in our Site Investigation Management Department which is responsible for seabed and subseabed investigations for development and construction of offshore wind farms. Please note that this is a temporary position for six months. You will be part of a group of 12 geophysicists and geologists and have 26 committed colleagues with backgrounds as geophysicists, geologists, scour engineers and project managers. In the department, we strive for a high degree of professionalism when conducting geo-surveys, interpretation and engineering. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work and initially you will be expected to spend some extended time working with collagues in our UK office Your key duties will be to take up a newly created position, supporting your specialist colleagues within Enviroment and Consents, Site Investigations and GIS departments both in Denmark and abroard for facilitate and ensure critical data management and documentation processes across all wind power projects ensure proper quality and effective data handling in close corporation with the project teams define processes and structure for DM of Geophysical, GIS, and Enviromental data implement DM processes to be guidline for DM service at DONG Energy Wind Power Furthermore, you will assist personnel with easy access to data and minimise time used on locating data as well as control and organise company-critical data files. Your role will also be to identify and clean up duplication of files and foldes and tead the implementation of company data quality assurance policies Your qualifications and core competences include that you have a relevant degree and experience with geophysical, geotechnical, enviromental and GIS data have experience with geophysical, geotechnical or environmental data and relevant software such as Petrel, Kingdom and Arc GIS. have knowledge of and experience with the types of submissions required to satisfy consent requirements (monitoring reports and detailed technical reports) are a Microsoft Office super user and acquainted with web filing systems and electronic data management systems. In general, you have flair for IT systems You should also have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks, speak and write English fluently and thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders.
