Would you like to develop, design and construct our operational and maintenance facilities for our offshore wind projects? Join us and become Civil Engineering Manager in our team in Substations. We are responsible for managing engineering and construction activities for our onshore O&M Facilities – such as office building, warehouse, training facilities, pontoons etc – throughout development, design and construction until handover to O&M. We are looking for candidates who are eager to make a difference and contribute to future wind projects. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. As O&M Facilities Civil Manager, you will report to the Construction Project Manager and will cooperate with the O&M team and the construction team. You will be directly responsible for the O&M Facilities in relation to all matters pertaining to design, layout, construction and interfaces. Additionally, you must ensure that all input and constraints from internal stakeholders are available in due time, from feasibility and concept studies to detailed design and fabrication follow-up. Your key duties will be to •establish time schedule, cost and resource plan for conceptual, detailed design and construction of O&M facilities hereunder project scope statement •ensure procurement of contracts in collaboration with contract manager hereunder prepare technical requirements •facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure internal requirements are reflected in layout and design •proactively ensure engineering and construction works are carried through based on balanced contracts and optimised regarding time, costs and QHSE •inform the project management of all significant technical issues, particularly risks, develop contingency plans and be in charge of management of changes in the design and construction phases. You will also be responsible for ensuring that project deliverables are executed in compliance with company processes and standards and handed over to Operational and Maintenance. Further, you will work closely together with Construction and Operational & Maintenance teams in identifying project opportunities. Hence, it is expected that your work approach is innovative and analytical with a focus on HSE and cost effectiveness. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •have a degree in civil engineering or building technician •have experience as Contractor or designer •have cross-cultural experience and thrive in an international environment •would be able to make digital drawings/sketches for outline proposal only (AutoCAD or similar) •have knowledge of sustainable design methods (DGNB/BREEAM/LCA).
