Are you interested in developing data science tools for food production?

Scio+ is an ambitious young company working at the forefront of data science in the food production sector. Scio+ is working together with a world leading climate management company to develop new and better products for food producers worldwide. 

To succeed in being a trusted partner for our customers we need more than just the right skills - we need the right people.  

We are looking for experienced data scientists to join our team at Scio+ located in Agro Food Park.  In close collaboration with the rest of the team, you will be working on delivering insights that enable us to make a difference. We work as self–organising teams and strive to minimise process overhead. We succeed when we are able to give you and the team space to complete your work, collaborate and react responsibly to changes. For this role you will be closely involved in helping one of our sister companies develop new data driven tools for food producers and create methods for predictive maintenance of climate systems. 

You should have an open and positive attitude to your colleagues and work and you have a desire to make an impact on the world. As a Data Scientist you are passionate about your field of work within Data Science and Software Engineering/Development. You want to not only develop predictive models/algorithms, but also to actually deliver them as a working solution to end-users and incorporate their feedback into our products.  

Your profile:

• You have a background in machine learning/statistical modelling, e.g. a master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• You can analyse data and build predictive models using Python or R
• You display a clear passion for data science and enjoy solving challenging problems
• You can explain your ideas and the findings of your work to peers and stakeholders
• You are driven by a desire for improving your skills as well as learning new ones
